Our terms and conditions

Your Booking

By completing your booking with Primal Challenges, whether deposit or payment in full, it will be accepted as you understanding and agreeing to our terms and conditions. Please read carefully as we cannot accept circumstances or issues that may arise in the future that would be contrary to our terms and conditions.

Upon payment in full we accept responsibility for delivering our programme of events as outlaid in our official Celtic Traverse 2019 brochure.

Please note that some things may not be under our control, such as inclement weather or changes in circumstances to accommodation, routes and other parts of the programme. This may require us to make changes to the itinerary and we reserve the right to alter the programme to suit.

Card Payments

Bookings made on our website, primalchallenges.com, accepts most credit and debit cards. Please note that a 3% processing fee is charged by our payment gateway PayPal. If a deposit is paid and you have an outstanding balance you will receive an alert from us to pay such. Again a 3% processing fee is charged by our payment gateway PayPal.

Exchange Rates

Prices on our website are subject to change based on exchange rates. We reserve the right to change prices, however if you have paid a deposit or paid in full, your price will not be effected.

Our Liabilities

We do not exclude or limit any liability to our guests which may arise from proven negligence by any person employed directly by us or by our suppliers, subcontractors or agents of the same whilst acting in the course or their employment in respect of death, bodily injury or illness. Such liabilities shall be subject to Republic of Ireland law and all proceedings shall be within the exclusive domain of the Irish courts.

We shall endeavour to afford general assistance to our clients in the event of illness, injury or death during the period of the trip. We accept responsibility for ensuring that all parts of the trip are supplied as described and that all services shall reach a reasonable standard. We cannot assume responsibility for loss or expense due to war, riots, strikes, terrorist activities or natural disaster.

Cancellation by Us

In the unlikely event of Primal Challenges cancelling the programme all funds paid will be refunded in full. However, this does not include the 3% Paypal charge for processing. We cannot pay this back to you.

Cancellation by You

You or any member of your party may cancel your trip at any time up to 30 days before the event providing that the cancellation is made by the person who made the booking and has communicated with us in writing.

Registration fees are fully refundable within 30 days of registering with the exception of registrations made after 31st March 2019.

If unable to attend you can roll 50% of your fees to the following year provided you notify us of your cancellation no later than 30 days before the event. No rollover of fees can be made within 30 days of scheduled event.

If you cancel within 30 days of the event we will refund all monies paid less the cost of accommodation, activities etc if already paid for by us.

If you are obliged to cancel, you may, with reasonable notice, transfer your booking to a third party.

Alterations

We will do our utmost to provide the trip arrangements that have been confirmed in our official brochure, but we must retain the right to modify arrangements, if unforeseen circumstances amounting to ‘force majeure’ arise. In such circumstance, we will inform you as soon as possible.

Travel Insurance

It is imperative that you take out adequate travel insurance. Particular care should be taken to ensure that you have adequate cover, in particular for cancellation and emergency repatriation in the event of medical problems.

The Law in Ireland

As a visitor to Ireland you will be subject to the laws of the country. Please familiarise yourself with the laws and customs of the country as they may differ from yours.

You can find more information at the official Republic of Ireland government website http://www.gov.ie/en. We also recommend that you check your own country’s government website to view official advice for travellers.

We will not be responsible for any guest who willingly breaks the law while participating in Celtic Traverse 2019.

Airports & Airlines

We are not responsible for your external travel to and from Ireland. Issues such as delays, strikes and cancellations will be the responsibility of the airport you travel through or the airline that you choose to travel with.

We also do not accept responsibility for your entry into Dublin airport so please ensure you have a valid passport and, if necessary, a valid visa.

Baggage & Personal Effects

These remain your responsibility and risk at all times. In the event of lost luggage or personal effects we will endeavour to provide you with whatever help we can.

Injury or Illness

Where applicable, and in conjunction with the appropriate medical advice, we reserve the right to interrupt a guests run if we feel that your health is at risk. In these cases we ensure that the individual will receive appropriate health care from health professionals as promptly as possible. We will always deliver best practice regarding the medical well-being or safety of our guests.

Nuisance Guests

We do not tolerate guests who become a nuisance to other guests. There will be zero tolerance of anyone making threats or abusing other guests and we reserve the right to remove any guest doing so. Please note that we do not offer any kind of refund in this case.

Complaints & Arbitration

We will always endeavour to resolve any complaints as quickly as possible. However, if the matter cannot be resolved, please write to us within 14 days of the end of the trip. We will endeavour to resolve the problem as promptly as possible. In the unlikely event that the problem is not amicably resolved the case may be referred to arbitration agreeable by all parties.

Data Protection Statement

Please be assured that we have measures in place to protect the personal booking information held by us. This information will not be passed on to a third party with the exception of your first name and surname being given to accommodation suppliers.

Your Financial Protection

Book with confidence. We are an officially registered tour company. Your money protection is underwritten by our tour company insurance.

Paul Campbell is an integral part of the Primal Challenges Team. He is responsible for event delivery and guest relations at all events. A regular in the outdoors he can be found running or mountain biking in the hills when not at a Primal Challenges event.

Eddie Creaney is a professional marketeer and graphic designer. As well as his involvement with Primal Challenges he also helps to manage our sister company Primal Tracking. Eddie’s background includes careers in music, the arts and community development.
